After 100% of the basic benefit amount of the certificate has been paid within a category (Category 1, Category 2, or Category 3), AWD does not pay any more benefits for any illness associated with that category. Once the covered person has exhausted all basic benefit maximums in Category 1, 2, and 3 and the Recurrence Benefit, coverage is terminated.
